The Algarve – a place that was home to me for many years and remains an important anchor in my life to this day. Surrounded by the wild Atlantic coast in the west and the gentle southern shoreline, a landscape of contrasts and quiet magic unfolds.
In April, spring in Portugal is already in full bloom. We will be surrounded by seas of blossoms – rock roses, almond trees, and other flowering medicinal plants.
Together we walk along the ancient paths of the Fishermen’s Trail (Trilho dos Pescadores) and the Rota Vicentina, following the breathtaking coastline and moving through the beautiful inland landscapes of the southwestern Algarve. Step by step, we immerse ourselves more deeply in nature – and in our inner world.
Elements such as silent walking, mindfulness practices, breathwork, and gentle body exercises are woven in, depending on the moment and the needs of the group. The retreat is an invitation to slow down and arrive. There is intentionally not a fully packed program every day, leaving space for stillness, integration, and personal exploration.
Some of the hikes require a moderate level of fitness, as parts of the trail include steep ascents and descents.
If hiking is not possible for you, you are very welcome to simply enjoy the beauty of the land, rest and relax, and take part in our shared meals.

Rental cars are usually inexpensive at this time of year (often renting a car for the whole week is more affordable than airport shuttle transfers)

ACCOMMODATION
We will stay together for the entire week in a beautiful retreat location. Surrounded by cork oak trees and blooming wild herbs, we are held by unspoiled nature, wide open space, and deep quiet. The small village of Pedralva is about a 15-minute walk away. Both the west coast and the south coast can be reached within a 10–15 minute drive.
A sense of care and sustainability can be felt throughout – from the architecture to the fresh, organic cuisine grown in the on-site garden. Small, individual cottages with private bathrooms offer you a peaceful place to retreat, shared with one other participant.
YOUR GUIDE
Portugal feels like a second home to me. I lived there for five years and have returned regularly to spend the winters there ever since. The landscape, the medicinal plants, the waves, the stillness and the quiet strength of this place are deeply familiar to me – and continue to enchant me again and again.
